Morus alba, sometimes referred to as the white mulberry, common mulberry, and silkworm mulberry, this variety I'm selling produces purple berries. Morus Alba is a small to medium-sized mulberry tree that can reach heights of 10 to 20 meters (33 to 66 feet). The species is commonly cultivated and naturalized outside of its native China and India (including United States, Mexico, Australia, Kyrgyzstan, Argentina, Turkey, Iran, and many others). Do not plant close to a house as they grow fast and will get too big without proper pruning. The mulberry trees have very dense and strong roots that will rob most other tree roots off their nutrients, especially if the other plants or trees are in pots, the mulberry tree roots will get up into the pot, constrict the roots of the host and take over. Leave a space of at least 10 feet to prevent that problem.
